Initial situation

The desire for digital development prompted the AStA of the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences to initiate a cooperation with UniNow.

The solution

After intensive testing by Prof. Dr. Sascha Paulus, in the context of his professorship for IT security together with students of the Cyber-Security course, the UniNow app convinced with high data security.

Special adaptations

Among other things, a link collection and the timetable import were adapted and implemented for the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences.

Grades: In the grades module all grades are displayed in a clear format and in statistics. It is also possible to add grades manually.
Mail: With the mail function, students receive and compose all university mails. No complicated setup is necessary, as the various configuration options are already stored in the app.
Cafeteria: The Mensa feature allows students to access the current dining plans and hours of operation for the Mensa.
Library: The library module provides students with an overview of the books borrowed and the end of the loan period.
Calendar: The schedule can be easily imported into the calendar, so that no lecture or other important appointment is forgotten.
To-Dos: The to-do list function gives an overview of all the tasks that still need to be done and helps to check off completed activities

The emergency function allows you to inform students and employees in dangerous situations via push notification.

Schedule import

With the automatic schedule import, users can easily import their schedule into the app's calendar using their university login without any complicated setup.
