FROM THE UNIVERSITY TO THE UNIVERSITIES
During their computer science studies at Otto von Guericke University (OVGU) in Magdeburg, Stefan and Tobias started building an app. At the age of 21, the two were not initially thinking of a business model, but simply wanted to solve a problem. They simply wanted to know if they had passed their exams. Loading the results took forever and no one had thought about mobile devices either.
In their third semester, the two were among the few with a smartphone and their enthusiasm for technology brought them together. Fellow students became friends, frustrated IT students became app developers.
The application quickly found other users and an important supporter in Professor Graham Horton from the Faculty of Computer Science. He presented the app to Rector Jens Strackeljan, who in turn initially introduced the program for the entire Magdeburg University under the name OVGU2GO.
At the end of the study, the question still arose: do we let the project die or do we go all out? The decision was made for the last one and the company UniNow was founded.

Our mission: We digitize every service for colleges and universities. With our product, we make the complicated simple. We help colleges and universities to digitize and offer the possibility to provide a campus app for all services on campus even with minimal resources.

The Class of 2020 selects UniNow as Start Up of the Month June, UniNow wins Start Up of The Year Award in Milan
2019
Completion of the 10th university cooperation, development of the booking module for university sports at the University of Bayreuth.
2020
Development of digital campus check-in, completion of 30th university collaboration.
2021
Five-year anniversary, digital student ID card introduced at Flensburg European University, 50th university cooperation concluded, named one of the top start-up employers by Business Punk
2022
UniNow becomes part of Jobware GmbH, 60th university cooperation concluded
2023
Conclusion of 80th university cooperation, UniNow wins Education Award 2023/2024 for timetable function, UniNow wins Hugo Junkers Award for the digital student ID card
